We invite the UNC IT Community to join us this year at the virtual 2021 UNC CAUSE Conference! There are a handful of sessions that will be led by our Chapel Hill colleagues. Join us and support our Tar Heel colleagues!
UNC CAUSE is an IT-focused organization for the 17 campuses in the UNC System, and this year’s conference will be held virtually over a 2-week period from October 5-14. Thanks to the ITS Information Security Office covering this year’s group registration, all in the UNC-CH IT community are welcome to attend! You must register for the conference to get full access to the program on Sched and join sessions via Zoom.
Conference Day #1 on October 5 will conclude with the keynote address:
Influence Beyond Your Box
Based on race, gender, education or job function, society and organizations put us into different boxes and tag us with stereotypes. Even more damaging, however, are the boxes we unconsciously put ourselves in. In this keynote address, Jia teaches organizations and individuals how to lead and influence beyond their boxes.
“But by not even asking, we are rejecting ourselves by default—and probably missing out on opportunity as a result.” – Jia Jiang
Teaching & Learning Sessions
There are several sessions on Teaching & Learning, plus several other great tracks to follow! These are the currently scheduled T&L sessions:
- The Post-COVID Classroom: Resilient spaces for engaged and equitable teaching and learning
- Addressing the Digital Divide as an Adobe Creative Campus
- Computerizing Formative Assessment
- Amplifying Chemistry Curriculum with Adaptive and Personalized Learning Courseware
Please visit the conference website to register. You must register by Monday, October 4th, to guarantee access to the keynote!
